The Makers of “Heir” Need Your Help!

The Makers of “Heir” Need Your Help!

The crew working on Heir needs your help!

Here’s the synopsis:

“After connecting with a stranger of similar interests online, family man Gordon and his
son Paul, embark on an ill-fated road trip in which Gordon aims to indulge in a secret
passion. Before the day ends a horrible truth will be uncovered and a harsh lesson will
be learned.

Combining the best and brightest of our previous film, FAMILIAR, with new and
accomplished collaborators (BILL OBERST JR, MARC ROUSSEL and RON
BASCH from Red Sneakers Media), HEIR is set to be a disturbing, practical FX
driven horror short which examines one of societies darkest taboos in a way only Fatal
Pictures can. HEIR stands to be our darkest, sharpest and most successful film to date!”

The film is being produced by Zach Green and written and directed by Richard Powell, both of whom were named “Canadian genre filmmakers to look out for” by PlanetFury.com.

Alyse Wax from FEARnet calls Heir “a monstrous spin on an all-too-familiar tale of bad parenting.”

There’s 10 days left! Help the team make this awesome film! (Not to mention, the perks RULE. Like wow, somebody give me $500 or more quick! Working with professionals on my own original short screenplay? Getting to be a monster in the movie, fully made up by FX Special Effects? Fatal Pictures Film School? Being an associate producer? I’ve always wanted to work behind the scenes in movies so fuck yeah this is awesome!)

I'm a regular contributing writer to this website. I got into horror movies through the sci-fi monster films I watched with my dad as a kid (ex. Aliens) and the extreme amounts of zombie movies I spent a good portion of my college career watching. I absolutely love zombies (obviously), am a sucker for a low budget (or any) monster movie, and adore horror-comedy films. Frankenstein by Mary Shelley is one of my favorite books, and I'm still waiting for an actually decent film adaptation to bring that fantastic novel to life. Outside of my life as a horror fan, I'm a writer and editor with dreams of turning my screenplays into movies and a love of wine and murder mysteries.
