Update: SLIME CITY & SLIME CITY MASSACRE Double Feature Benefit, Plus Where Else You Can Get Slimed

You know, sometimes I think the only person who talks about Slime City more than I do is Greg Lamberson himself. If that’s the case, well, he’s earned it. Slime City is his domain, and he has every right to be proud of his slime-spewing cinematic “children.” I’m just a weirdo fanboy nerd lucky enough to live in the same city as Greg.

Now, I posted last week about the upcoming SLIME CITY & SLIME CITY MASSACRE Double Feature Benefit, to benefit Benjamin Heppel, a local boy with Leukemia.  I mentioned that not only would 100% of the ticket revenue go to Benjamin’s medical bills, but that there would be a raffle as well, with tickets costing $2.00 apiece, and the revenue from raffle tickets will also go to Benjamin.

Well, Greg has posted a list — possibly still a partial list — of what’s been donated for the raffle so far.  And let me tell you, it’s spectacular.

(According to Greg, he can’t quite make out every last signature.)

John Maclay was the executive producer of SLIME CITY MASSACRE and Richard Chizmar was an associate producer.

And this isn’t even everything that’s been pledged — this is just what Greg’s reported so far.  Doesn’t this make you want to rush up to Buffalo? Maybe partake in some of our delicious wings before the event?

***

I understand that not everyone out there can make it to Buffalo for their Slime-fix.  For you, Greg has a number of other events going on across the country, ensuring that everyone gets a taste of Himalayan Yogurt and Zachary’s Elixir.

First up, on Friday, May 13th, 2011 there will be a DVD launch signing party at Forbidden Planet in New York City, which will run from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM.  Greg will be signing, along with Debbie Rochon, Lloyd Kaufman, Mary Huner-Boyle (who starred in both SLIME CITY and SLIME CITY MASSACRE), and a number of other cast and crew members from both films.  I’m kind of sorry to be missing this, to be honest, though outside the American Museum of Natural History, New York City on the whole terrifies me.  I’m not a big city kind of guy.

Now, if that doesn’t have you salivating yet, hold on to your pants because Greg’s not done yet.

The Bronx Week Film Festival runs from May 16th to May 19th at the Bruckner Bar and Grill, 1 Bruckner Boulevard in Port Morris.  SLIME CITY MASSACRE will be screening during the festival.  Portions of the original SLIME CITY were filmed in the Bronx, where SLIME producer Marc J. Makowski has been a lifelong resident.

Maybe you’re saying, “Well, that’s three events in New York State.  What’s this “cross-country” business Bill mentioned?”

June 4th, 2:00 – 4:00 PM at Dark Delicacies in Burbank, California, Robert Sabin (who played the antihero of SLIME CITY and villainous Zachary Devon in flashbacks in SLIME CITY MASSACRE) and Scream Queen Brooke Lewis (who appeared in SLIME CITY MASSACRE, as well as co-producing) will be signing DVDs of SLIME CITY MASSACRE.

I really wish I had the funds and time to hit up all these events.
