A few weeks ago, I wrote a feature about a remarkable indie horror film called Dawning (mira aqui). Over the past year or so, I have been following the film’s progress, through various film festivals and small screenings at theaters throughout the country (winning numerous awards along the way). And now filmmaker Gregg Holtgrewe is working tirelessly to get distribution. Like a lot of people nowadays, Gregg and all those involved with the efforts are in a bit of a financial pickle.
He recently launched a new site for the film and has an Etsy store connected to it. He’s selling posters, t-shirts, and bundles at very reasonable prices. Check out the merch being made available through the site: http://dawningthemovie.com/. The artwork is really incredible, developed by Clinton Lugert of They Design. Who says horror art is dead?
Anywhos, your help and support would be much appreciated. This is one of the most amazing and original independent horror films I’ve had the pleasure of watching in the past 2 years and for me, it’s an instant classic. It truly deserves to be seen by a wider audience.
Other donations efforts will be started via the aforementioned site at a later date. He’ll be offering specially signed packages and credits in the film itself.
