Weekly Bloodlines for April 5th

Weekly Bloodlines for April 5th

One last batch of bloodlines for ya before the Bloodsprayer crew enjoys a little R&R at Cinema Wasteland!

March 29, 2013. Eagle One Media is proud to announce it has acquired worldwide rights to the critically acclaimed horror feature film Scare Zone. Director Jon Binkowski’s debut feature film will be release this summer on DVD, VOD, and digital platforms within North America and rolled out globally in various territory markets.

Shot at Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights set, Scare Zone features Neil Brown Jr. (The Walking Dead, Fast and Furious), Arian Ash (Phone Booth, Tigerland), Simon Needham (Health Inspector, Larry the Cable Guy), and Jordan Woods-Robinson (Magic City)

Synopsis:
Scare Zone is Oliver’s pride and joy. Sure, it’s just another strip-mall Halloween Horror House, but as always, he’s put his heart and soul into it for the last two years. This year the theme is “Scare Zone III: the Psyco-Splatter Raw-topsy Slaughter Dungeon” where he’s created an entire creepy Victorian maze featuring all of his best scenarios: the Living Amputation, the odiferous Toilet of Terror, the Vampire Bride (featuring Bat-Baby), and of course a final encounter with the chainsaw wielding Pumpkin Carver. The attraction is open for three nights only, and Oliver has brought back his old crew, including ex-con Spider, eager bride-to-be Summer, and the enigmatic Goth princess Claire. And bunch of newbies are also on board, including earnest young Darryl, who immediately finds himself bewitched by the creepy Claire. But this dysfunctional ‘scream team’ will need to work and keep it together while someone or some-thing is out to make their horror house attraction REAL.

A new clip (NSFW I might add) for the upcoming vampire movie Kiss of the Damned has been released.  Look for Kiss of the Damned on iTunes, On Demand PPV, and in select theaters May 3rd from Magnet Releasing!  Synopsis: Beautiful vampire Djuna (Josephine de La Baume) tries to resist the advances of the handsome, human screenwriter Paolo (Milo Ventimiglia), but eventually gives in to their passion. When her troublemaker sister Mimi (Roxane Mesquida) unexpectedly comes to visit, Djuna’s love story is threatened, and the whole vampire community becomes endangered…

A clip was also released this week from the Netflix original series Hemlock Grove.  From executive producer Eli Roth and based on Brian McGreevy’s novel of the same name, Hemlock Grove is a riveting one-hour murder mystery that revolves around the residents of a former Pennsylvania steel town. When 17-year-old Brooke Bluebell is brutally murdered, any of Hemlock’s peculiar inhabitants – or killer creatures – could be suspects. Through the investigation, the town’s seamier side is exposed, revealing nothing is what it seems. Beautiful, terrifying and graphic, Hemlock Grove is unlike anything else in its genre.  Look for the entire first season of Hemlock Grove exclusively on Netflix on April 19th!

In 2005, Stevan Mena’s debut feature film Malevolence was a surprise hit when it was released theatrically and on DVD. Written, co-produced and directed by Stevan, Malevolence told the shocking but enthralling story of masked serial killer Martin Bristol, whose story hit a nerve with horror fans and mainstream audiences all over the world. Intended as the second act of a sprawling trilogy, fans were rewarded in 2011 when Stevan explored the origins of Martin’s tragic creation with Bereavement starring Michael Biehn and Alexandra Daddario. Now, the final suspenseful chapter is about to be told with Malevolence 3…but we need your help.

Mena Films announces their campaign to start production of Malevolence 3. Once again, Stevan Mena is writing, directing and producing, along with longtime co-producer Tim Bristol and producer/actor Brian O’Halloran (Clerks). Fans can contribute funds towards commencing principal photography – even pre-ordering the Blu-ray™/DVD! In addition, fans who commit targeted minimum pledge amounts will be eligible for exclusive incentives including signed scripts, tickets to the premiere party, a Skype session with the cast and filmmakers – and a chance to appear in the film! To contribute, go to http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/malevolence -3/x/2886817.

In Malevolence 3, Martin Bristol returns to where it all began: the home where he was kidnapped from. But he is not the boy who disappeared over 10 years ago. Tortured and abused at the hands of his psychotic captor, Graham Sutter, Martin is damaged beyond repair. Lurking in the shadows of suburbia, he stalks and kills without remorse, picking his victims at random – or are they? Special Agent William Perkins follows Martin’s trail of terror, desperate to capture him before he kills again. Martin’s family, mourning his disappearance for over 10 years, is informed not only that he is alive, but that he is responsible for the wave of murder sweeping through their town. Will they be able to reunite with their long lost son before it’s too late, or will Perkins have to use excessive force to bring him down?

Matt has been a fan of horror films since his first trip to the video store when he was transfixed by classic vhs cover art. Now he primarily enjoys films from the grindhouse era of the 70's and 80's, but holds a soft spot in in his heart for low budget flicks.
