Thursday News Roundup: Emma Watson, Tom Hanks, Pet Semetary

A while ago, I put up a post about a documentary about cult film Pet Semetary. It’s called Unearthed and Untold: Path to Pet Semetary and now, in addition to being available on digital platforms, it’s being released on Blu-Ray and DVD by Synapse Films, which has partnered up with Terror Films. I’ve talked about this before, you can find it here, that’s about all you need to know, not much to tell. No release date yet, I’ll keep you in the loop.

So that, and I have some clips from the new movie Circles with Emma Watson, Tom Hanks, John Boyega, Patton Oswalt, and the late, great Bill Paxton. Here they are:

Here’s the synopsis, this one’s from STX entertainment:

“The Circle is a gripping modern thriller, starring Emma Watson (“Harry Potter”), Tom Hanks (“Sully”) and John Boyega (“Star Wars: The Force Awakens”). When Mae (Emma Watson) is hired to work for the world’s largest and most powerful tech & social media company, she sees it as an opportunity of a lifetime.  As she rises through the ranks, she is encouraged by the company’s founder, Eamon Bailey (Tom Hanks), to engage in a groundbreaking experiment that pushes the boundaries of privacy, ethics and ultimately her personal freedom. Her participation in the experiment, and every decision she makes begin to affect the lives and future of her friends, family and that of humanity.”

This comes out April 28th, so go see it and report back.

I'm a regular contributing writer to this website. I got into horror movies through the sci-fi monster films I watched with my dad as a kid (ex. Aliens) and the extreme amounts of zombie movies I spent a good portion of my college career watching. I absolutely love zombies (obviously), am a sucker for a low budget (or any) monster movie, and adore horror-comedy films. Frankenstein by Mary Shelley is one of my favorite books, and I'm still waiting for an actually decent film adaptation to bring that fantastic novel to life. Outside of my life as a horror fan, I'm a writer and editor with dreams of turning my screenplays into movies and a love of wine and murder mysteries.
