The 6th Annual Sci-Fi Spectacular invades Chicago!

Across the galaxy, from another dimension, with the sole purpose of tingling, titillating, and terrorizing your frail human mind comes the 6th Sci-Fi Spectacular! Doors open at 11am on April 28th at the Portage Theater – 4050 N. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago, IL (773-736-4050) – where there will be a pulsating celebration of all things other-worldly for 14 hours!!


Included with the festival screenings there will be vendor tables, a live charity auction benefiting Vital Bridges – which helps men, women and children impacted by HIV & AIDS build healthier lives, and a special guest appearance by Kelli Maroney, star of Night of the Comet, Chopping Mall, and Fast Times at Ridgemont High!




11:30 – Trailer Trash (Vintage Trailers & Short Films!)
Noon – Little Shop of Horrors (Original Corman Classic!)
1:30 – The Last Starfighter (80’s Awesomeness!)
3:15pm – Brazil (The Ultimate Dystopian Future!)
6pm – Night of the Comet (star Kelli Maroney in Person!)
8:15pm – Twelve Monkeys (Gilliam’s Modern Masterpiece!)
10:30pm – Attack the Block (Monster Mayhem!)
Midnight – The Theatre Bizarre (Midwest Premiere!)

  1. Wonder which version of Brazil they’ll show? The director’s cut, hopefully?

  2. Actually, the director’s cut is the only one that makes sense, imo. Brazil is one of my all time top favorites, but the theatrical release is just bad. 🙁
