Summit Entertainment loves it’s horror creatures. Having already made truckloads of money off of it’s Twilight series (and more is on it’s way), Summit has decided that they want to take another crack at it only with witches.
Summit has made a mid-six figure deal for the rights to The Last Witch Hunter, a pitch that was sold to them by Cory Goodman. Wanted director Timur Bekmambetov is in negotiations to produce and direct The Last Witch Hunter, and the film has the potential to be another franchise for the company.
The film follows the story of one of the last remaining witch hunters as it is his job to keep the population of witches and warlocks in check. Adam Goldworm is set to exec produce the film. His credits include the upcoming Priest staring Paul Bettany (Legion, Iron Man 2) and a remake of David Cronenberg’s The Brood for Spyglass Entertainment.
