Profondo VHS: Italian Horror Cover Art from Around the World

I love VHS (and Betamax) and Italian Horror. So it’s only obvious that I collect pasta classics, and not so classics, on the antiquated home video format. The following scans are all from my personal collection with the last few being grouped pictures because my scanner went nuclear. By the power of Lightbox, the images can be super-sized with a mouse click for your viewing enjoyment-breathe in for that dry cardboard and decaying tape scent!

  1. I am amazed by these covers! I could look at them all day long.

  2. Any chance we can invent a wallpaper patterened with these covers and then spackle my man cave with them?… I mean… if I had a mancave.

  3. I’ve always liked that Zombie box art and was delighted the first time I saw the movie that the cover boy zombie was actually in the movie. My favorite Italian VHS box art is the one for Buio Omega that shows the chick waking up in a coffin with dirt on her cleavage, which of course does not show up in the actual movie.
