Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead Makes MSN.com’s Top 10 Civil Rights Films

With today being Martin Luther King, Jr. day, MSN Movies has listed its Top 10 Civil Rights Films in honor.  One of the films that made it on the list was none other than the new Troma classic, ‘Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead’, which explores animal rights and vegetarianism.  Some other important films on racism and discrimination that were also on that list are Spike Lee’s  satirical film, ‘Bamboozled’, Jennie Livingston’s documentary, ‘Paris is Burning’, and the Ramon Mendez’s classic, ‘Stand and Deliver’.

[Poultrygeist]…is a genius satire of humanity’s blind consumption of meat.

Please note that the people of Troma Entertainment want this film to be recognized as a classic of activist cinema that it is, and not being falsely used as a DVD cleaner. http://www.krcrtv.com/news/26407819/detail.html
