If you’ve been following the news and gossip surrounding Lucky McKee’s new feature film The Woman, you’ve no doubt seen the video clip of an angry audience member denouncing its premiere at Sundance Film Festival. New video has surfaced that showcases fellow audience members disapproval as well, not for the film, but rather for the man that was ultimately ejected from the theater for his disruptive behavior. This is a primer for the events that were first reported among the film community.
Lucky McKee recently responded to this event and other issues regarding the premiere with an interview at Movieline.com where he stated about his new film, “If you’re afraid of something being brutally honest about the awful things that happen in this world, then don’t watch it.”
Producer Andrew van den Houten has also officially responded with a fireside chat regarding his opinions surrounding this “controversy.”
Needless to say, the interest in The Woman continues to grow stronger among fans and other interested parties.
