Lucky McKee’s THE WOMAN causes quite the ruckus at Sundance

Director Lucky McKee recently had his latest feature film, The Woman, screened at the Sundance Film Festival to the delight of many horror fans, but not everyone is singing its praises. Video has recently surfaced of an irate audience member furious over the content of this controversial movie, which also alludes to a female audience member that needed medical attention after being overwhelmed by its content at the premiere screening.

The Woman, starring actress Angela Bettis, is about a lawyer that captures and attempts to “civilize” the last remaining member of a violent clan that has roamed the Northeast coast for decades. This deed places the lawyer’s family and loved ones in peril as the woman isn’t all she seems to be.

Needless to say this reaction has only spiked further interest in McKee’s latest release.
