Let’s put new words together: Shark Exorcist

Here’s something new: a shark gets possessed by the Devil in the latest from Wild Eye Releasing. Donald Farmer’s Shark Exorcist features a shark that’s terrorizing a town because it’s possessed by the Devil, and they have to call in a Catholic priest to exorcise it so they can all go back to living in peace. Here’s the trailer:

If you’re a horror fan who’s been complaining that there’s never anything new in the genre, well, Donald Farmer heard you. I just really like this poster with a giant burning volcano-looking shark on it:

Synopsis, but after that poster and trailer I don’t really think you need any more information to see this, if only for the ridiculousness that is sure to abound:

A demonic nun summons Satan to a small fishing village, where he takes over the bodies of a great white shark and a young woman. A chain reaction of evil grips the tiny community as shredded bodies wash ashore. A Catholic priest arrives, and he must fight both teeth and temptation on land and sea in order to send these man-killers back to Hell before the tide comes in for good!

This will come out on DVD and Digital HD in June at some point. In the meantime, enjoy these stills:

I'm a regular contributing writer to this website. I got into horror movies through the sci-fi monster films I watched with my dad as a kid (ex. Aliens) and the extreme amounts of zombie movies I spent a good portion of my college career watching. I absolutely love zombies (obviously), am a sucker for a low budget (or any) monster movie, and adore horror-comedy films. Frankenstein by Mary Shelley is one of my favorite books, and I'm still waiting for an actually decent film adaptation to bring that fantastic novel to life. Outside of my life as a horror fan, I'm a writer and editor with dreams of turning my screenplays into movies and a love of wine and murder mysteries.
