I’m Alive; also, Anchor Bay will release “Sorority Party Massacre” on DVD February 11th, 2014!

“It’s not a competition….it’s a bloodbath.” Anchor Bay Entertainment will release the DVD of Sorority Party Massacre on February 11th, 2014! Pre-order will begin January 15th, 2014, for those of you who’d like to ensure you’ll get your hands on a copy. I’ve put the trailer for the movie below. It looks pretty awesome, check it out:

The synopsis is as follows:

“An isolated town full of sexy college girls has a dangerous secret:  one girl has gone missing each year for the last 20 years.  A big-city cop, in danger of losing his badge, agrees to aid the town’s sheriff in investigating these unsolved disappearances. Quickly they realize that they are dealing with a psychotic killer whose brilliance has been twisted into a taste for terror, torture and sorority sister torment. But when this party gets started, who will graduate – and who will be held back?”

The film is directed by Chris W. Freeman (Mirror Image) and Justin Jones (I couldn’t find anything on this guy, and by the way, there’s about 5,000 Justin Joneses). It’s got a very decent cast lineup, starring Tom Downey (Mirror Image), Leslie Easterbrook (The Devil’s Rejects), and porn king Ron Jeremy (he’s been busy in horror films lately, hasn’t he? Especially the ones filled with boobs). Sorority Party Massacre also introduces new scream queens Marissa Skell, Eve Mauro, and Yvette Yates. Maybe one of them is the next Danielle Harris, who holds a special scream queen place in my heart.

Bonus features on the disc include audio commentary by producer/writer/director Chris W. Freeman and Producer/Director Justin Jones, deleted scenes and outtakes, the Paige fight scene, and the Barney Lumpkin Campaign Ad. The DVD’s retail price is $22.98, and runtime is 103 minutes.

Sorority Party Massacre looks like a lot of fun. I can’t wait for it to come out!

I'm a regular contributing writer to this website. I got into horror movies through the sci-fi monster films I watched with my dad as a kid (ex. Aliens) and the extreme amounts of zombie movies I spent a good portion of my college career watching. I absolutely love zombies (obviously), am a sucker for a low budget (or any) monster movie, and adore horror-comedy films. Frankenstein by Mary Shelley is one of my favorite books, and I'm still waiting for an actually decent film adaptation to bring that fantastic novel to life. Outside of my life as a horror fan, I'm a writer and editor with dreams of turning my screenplays into movies and a love of wine and murder mysteries.
