Gillespie Has A Fright Night

Craig GillespieDreamWorks is moving forward with their Fright Night remake and they feel that Craig Gillespie (Lars and the Real Girl) is the right man to take the reins.

fright night movie posterFright Night follows the story of a horror movie obsessed Charlie Brewster (William Ragsdale) who begins to suspect that his new neighbors are not who they appear to be.  Charlie starts to believe that his neighbors might indeed be vampires and when reports of mysterious deaths come in, Charlie is more than convinced.

After an encounter with his neighbor Jerry Dandridge (Chris Sarandon),  Charlie decides to take action and enlists the help of his favorite TV vampire hunter.

Gillespie has directed several features including the quirky,  romantic comedy Lars and the Real Girl and Mr. Woodcock.  He has also worked with Steven Spielberg on The United States of Tara which a Showtime series produced by DreamWorks Television.  Gillespie has served as producer and director on The United States of Tara.

Fright Night is being written by Marti Noxon who was a writer on the Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV series.

Don’t be surprised if this movie comes to you in aorta cutting 3-D
