The trailer for the new AMC series, The Walking Dead has been released. The series debuts on Halloween of this year, and it is based on the Image comic series of the same name.
The comics, written by Robert Kirkman, follow the story of a police office who is wounded in the line of duty and slips into a coma. He wakes up and finds that the dead have risen and have overwhelmed society, causing a zombie apocalypse.
The television series will be written, directed, and produced by none other than Frank Darabont. For those of you who do not know who Darabont is, he did The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, and The Mist (all Stephen King adaptations, and probably the best King adaptations out there).
Needless to say, I am excited enough to step outside of my library and post this up here.
