Dead by Friday sounds really accurate

Dead by Friday, starring the late Richard Hatch, will be out tomorrow on VoD and Digital HD. Here’s the trailer:

 Here’s the synopsis:

Dead by Friday(web)“After years of struggle they finally get the opportunity of a lifetime to make their dreams a reality when Vinny (TIM INTRAVIA) is selected to delivery a suitcase for mob boss Sal (JOHN MARTINO, The Godfather) to a rival family boss in Miami. When things go wrong and the job gets messy, the tables are turned and the others find themselves asked to do the unimaginable; whack one of their own. With little options and no solution in sight the friends turn to former made-man turned priest, Father Anthony (RICHARD HATCH, Battlestar Galactica) for help, hoping to find a way out. Tough decisions must be made by each of them as they are confronted with the weight of their own actions.”

So that’s that one, and because I’m in a huge rush since I’m totally overworked this week and working on moving, sigh, here’s what you need to know about The Blessed Ones, from writer-director Patrick O’Bell. It’ll be out July 11 on DVD and Cable VoD, and here’s the trailer:

“An isolated cult hiding in a desert enclave prepare for an prophesied apocalypse, led by a charismatic Jim Jones-like leader. As the end of the world allegedly approaches, he binds them all to a suicide pact, in hopes of transcending earth for a new life in paradise. Two dissenters flee through the vast desert wasteland on the eve of the ceremony, hunted by the cult’s enforcer – who will stop at nothing to insure that they keep their part of the bargain.”

This one sounds fun. Nothing like a good cult horror movie. Order it on Amazon here.

I'm a regular contributing writer to this website. I got into horror movies through the sci-fi monster films I watched with my dad as a kid (ex. Aliens) and the extreme amounts of zombie movies I spent a good portion of my college career watching. I absolutely love zombies (obviously), am a sucker for a low budget (or any) monster movie, and adore horror-comedy films. Frankenstein by Mary Shelley is one of my favorite books, and I'm still waiting for an actually decent film adaptation to bring that fantastic novel to life. Outside of my life as a horror fan, I'm a writer and editor with dreams of turning my screenplays into movies and a love of wine and murder mysteries.
