We were a site built on self-sufficiency. Without the spirit to forge ahead and dive in, The Blood Sprayer has no purpose. Our writing team has always done our best to cover horror from an analytical, but also, passionate viewpoint. Often times, we can’t help but wear our hearts on our sleeves. This mentality is one that we’ve learned from the indie filmmakers and artists that we cover. So, it seemed like the obvious decision to dedicate a week of featured stories all to those people that inspire us so much.
Beginning October 9th and running through October 16th, you will get a chance to meet some of the best the indie world has to offer. And when I say indie, I don’t mean in that Fox Searchlight sort of way-I mean the guys and gals who are busting their asses trying to get funding all on their own AND changing the face of the genre as they do. It’s our way of giving back to the horror community’s finest for the support they’ve given to us. Please, please join us on October 9th as we claim our Independence!!!

I'm the founder of The Blood Sprayer, as well as its head writer. I have an incredible wife and son who are my reason for living and dying. Film is a way of life for me and it seeps into every aspect of my life. My particular area of expertise is in exploitation/grindhouse stuff from the 70's and 80's. I'm also a sucker for a micro budget indie as evident with how much attention we give those companies on the site.
