Ugh…I’m annoyed that I have to give this away. Not that I don’t want to give away someone’s artwork, but annoyed at the fact that I can’t keep it, mount it on my own wall, and brag like a motherfucker about it. However, one of you lucky shits is going to get to.
Never in the history of this site have I been sooooo incredibly envious of whoever becomes the winner of a piece of merchandise we’re giving away…and we give away some really cool shit!!! This one, though…it’s different. It’s just so BEAUTIFUL and so… so FULCI! See?! I’m freaking out with envy. I guess I should unveil this thing:
This 16×20 canvas painting (appropriately entitled “I Got Worms”) was done by our very own, Courtney Wyant. Courtney is a contributing writer, illustrator, and artist here at The Blood Sprayer. One of his passions is canvas painting of iconic horror images. He does commissioned work (of which I can attest to. He did a Leatherface painting for me that nearly makes the fanboy in me weep!) but for Italian Week, he wanted to do something that was inspired. So, he sat down and came up with (what I think) is the single best painting he’s ever done. The photo doesn’t do all the intricacies of the piece justice. The colors and nuances that you can only experience by looking up close are going to blow your mind when it’s hanging on your wall.
That brings us to the big question: How do I get it on my wall? At this point, I think you know what to do. Below, there will be a question that you need to answer in the form of a comment on the bottom of this article. Include your email address we can best reach at and your name. This contest will run longer than the other 2, as it was at the end of the Italian Week run. I can’t stress enough how incredible this painting is. It’s currently sitting in my living room and I’m looking right at it. I’m jealous of whichever one of you that wins. Goddamned jealous.
